The miracles of Last Prophet PBUH

Hazrat Muhammad PBUH needs no miracles or justification to prove his superior and pious self. All Almighty made him his last prophet, blessed him with Holy Quran and gave him the title of last messenger. Yet he was blessed with certain powers to make him the most respectable and supreme of all other prophets and messengers.

The last prophet of Allah performed countless physical miracles which were witnessed by his companions, enemies and elders. Many of his miracles marked history and hence were mentioned in holy Quran. These miracles include supernatural events and the use of magic and power. The Quran made some miracles eternal by etching them in the conscious of the believers. All the miracles performed by Muhammad were so real that the faith of non believers shifted from foreign religion to Islam.  As time passed the faith of non believers in Islam became stronger. Some of the notable miracles of Allah’s last prophet are mentioned below.

 

• Splitting of the Moon

When Meccans went on disbelieving Muhammad and cursed him by calling cruel magician, Allah Almighty took hand of his beloved and made him perform a miracle so he can prove his truthfulness.  Allah almighty split the moon in two separate halves and then re-joined them.  The Quran recorded the event: “The Last Hour draws near, and the moon is split asunder!” (Quran 54:1)

• Night Journey and Ascent to Heaven

Just few months before the final migration of Muslims from Makah to Medina took place. Allah Almighty took holy prophet PBUH in one night from the Grand Mosque in located in Jerusalem, a month’s journey of 1230 Km for a caravan.  From Jerusalem, he ascended to the heavens, passing the boundaries of the physical universe to be in divine presence, meet God, and witness the Great Signs (al-Ayat ul-Kubra).

• The Flowing Of water

In the long journey through the desert, people ran out of all water, only the Prophet was left with a vessel with which he performed ablution for prayers.  He put his hand in the vessel, water began flowing from between his fingers
