Companions of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)

During the life time of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) the followers who were with him they are called “sahaba karaam ” Holy prophet (s.a.w) loved them all and he said ” “They (Shaba)are like stars , whoever of them you fallow you will be rightly guided.” But there are four followers who were very close and dear to the Holy prophet (s.a.w). They are the Rashidun caliph of Islam.

Hazrat Abu Baker

Hazrat Abu Baker was the first caliph of Islam he was also the first person who embraced on Holy Prophet’s call. He was a rich trader by profession and contributed his wealth extensively for religion Islam. On his part it is the most important event of his life that he accompanied Hazrat Muhammad (s.a.w) in the cave of “soar” during his migration to Madina. He fought in the battles of Bader and Uhad and stood side by side with the Holy prophet (s.a.w) all the way to the victory of Makkah. His daughter Hazrat Ayisha (R.A) was the beloved wife of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). He is remembered as Al-Saddiq in the history of Islam.

Hazrat Umer Ibn Khitaab

The second companion is Hazrat Umer Ibn Khitaab, the second caliph of Islam. He is one of the most powerful and influential personality of Islam. Hazrat Umer was one of those few people of Makkah who knew how to read and write. At first when the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) invited people to Islam, Hazrat Umer (R.A) became an enemy of Islam. He never spared any moment to harm the Muslims. But after accepting Islam, he sacrificed half of his wealth for the sake of Allah, and fought in all the big battles. Before his conversion to Islam people were afraid and could not offer prayer openly. As he declared his acceptance of Islam boldly, the Muslims said prayer publicly the very first time. After the death of Hazrat Abu Bakar he became the second caliph, during his reign he made incredible reforms. His justice is best known due to which he earned the title Al-Faruq. He was assassinated while he was leading the Fajar prayer. And the great caliph embraced martyrdom. He was so much loved by the Holy prophet that he said,
If there were some other prophet after me he would have been Umer(R.A).

Hazrat Usman-e-ghani

Hazrat Usman-e-ghani was the third friend and notable companion of the Holy prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). He was from the “Umayyah” family. Like Hazrat Umer (R.A) he was also among the few people who knew reading and writing. He was the writer of Quranic revelations. He was known as Jami-ul-Quran because he was the compiler of the Quran. As he accepted Islam his family manipulated him. He used to help needy and poor because of his generous nature he spent his wealth for the betterment of Muslims. He bought a well from a Jew , Bi’r-i-Rhuma for twenty thousand dirham so that Muslims could use it for free. For his generosity he was known as “Al-Ghani”. Hazrat Usman (R.A) was also given the title of Dhun-Nurain because Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)’s two daughters were married with him. He was a great Islamic scholar who excelled in deriving laws from the Holy Quran. He served the Muslims selflessly and got the best reward from Allah (SWT) by blessing him among the most righteous companion of the Holy prophet (s.a.w).

Ali ibn Abi Talib

Ali ibn Abi Talib was the fourth closest companion of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) he was the first youngest child who accepted Islam. He was the son of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)’s uncle, Abu Talib, who brought him up. Hazrat Ali got married to Hazrat Fatima, beloved daughter of Holy prophet (s.a.w). He used to go with the Holy prophet (s.a.w) in the Cave of Hira for meditation. The prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) declared him as his brother when created a bond of brotherhood among Muslims. He was a strong and brave young man. He participated in the battles with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and fought bravely. He was a man of wisdom and his policies were according to the teachings of Islam. He spent his life for the service of Islam.
