The Life of Muhammad PBUH

 

Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) is the last messenger of Allah. A Muslim has a faith that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (S.A.W) is the last prophet he who does not believe is not a Muslim.

Muhammad (S.A.W) was born in 570 AD in Makkah. He was born in the respectable family of Bannu Hashim. His father had died before his birth. And his mother Bibi Amina left him orphan at the age of 6. His grandfather Abd-al-mutlib took him in his custody and brought him up for 2 years and after his death his uncle Abu talib took the responsibility.

Muhammad(S.A.W) used to go for trading in the early years of his life with his uncle. He was a prominent merchant and was well known for his honesty. People of Quraysh found him trustworthy and honest, they used to ask him to resolve their disputes. He was given the title of Sadiq and Amean for these virtues.

He got married to a wealthy lady Bibi Khadijah bin khuwaylid, 40 of age. At that time he was 25 of age. She was impressed by Hazrat Muhammad’s honesty and truthfulness. Muhammad (S.A.W) used to spend most of his time at the cave of Hira, for prayer and to ponder.

At the age of 40 he was bestowed upon by the revelations from Allah. Bibi Khadijah (R.A) was the first person whom he told the message of Allah and she embrassed Islam. Before Islam people used to worship idols and were indulged in bad habits. In 610 Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) started preaching, he asked the people of Makkah to worship only one Allah, his message was taken as a threat by the people of Makkah. They became enemy of the last prophet. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) was asked to migrate by Allah and he started his journey of hijrah along with his friends to Madina.

After eight years of fight in 629 he gathered an army of his followers and marched towards the city of Makkah. After the conquest of Makkah Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) delivered his last speech, khutaba ul wida. It is a perfect code of life for every Muslim.

He is not a prophet for only one sect or a nation but is a mercy to all the worlds – Rehmat-ullil-Alimean. Every Muslim is bound to follow his teachings and that is the only way to success. He died at the age of 63(Innallilahi ilahi rajion).
