5 Easy Tips to Reduce Anger

Many time we suddenly become angry while talking to our friends. At that time, we do not have control on our self and we say things which hurt the other person easily. Here are these 5 simple tips to reduce anger and become patient in such situations:

  1. Think Before You Speak

We do not know what we are saying when we are angry. We keep saying things without thinking. Our words fly out of our mouths before we know it. Therefore, we need to think for a while and evaluate that what we are going to say might hurt someone. Rather than wasting time on unnecessary talking or speech, engage yourself in Dhikar that is certainly very beneficial to reduce anger. It would not harm and also your fellow human beings as well.

  1. Abstain from Backbiting

Backbiting which is called Gheebah in Islam and lying are big sins. These sins are forbidden in Islam and also mentioned in many ahadith. Allah SWT says in Holy Quran:

“And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.” [Surah Al-Hujurat 49:12]

  1. Apologize If You Hurt Someone

The act or thing that will hurt you will also hurt your friend. Therefore, you should apologize if you committed such thing or mistake which hurt your fellow human being. Although it may be quite uncomfortable or difficult for you to accept your mistake but apologizing for your wrong act will raise your place in his mind.

Secondly, it will also help you to mend your relationship with the other person because you are showing that you are sorry for hurting them and that you care about them. Allah SWT will also be pleased from you.

  1. Have a Good Company for You

Your company matters a lot. If you have company of friends who usually indulge themselves in useless gossips and backbiting then try to avoid that company and have friends who talk good and discuss informative and valuable topics.
