WHY MUSLIMS NEED TO PRAY?

Praying is really important in Muslims life. We have to remember that the first thing Allah (SWT) is going to ask you is ‘Did you pray?. Even our prophet (PBUH) prayed 5 times a day, made long qiyyamahs while he had no sins yet he still prayed.

Prayer is one of the 5 pillars of Islam and each one of the 5 prayers doesn’t take more than few minutes and maybe this will be your bridge to jannah. When you will start praying regularly you will see that everything turns out positive in your life and you will find inner peace and calmness in your soul.

Salah is the part of the identity of Muslims. There is no iman for the man who does not pray. Islam gave us a window of opportunity so we should avail it by performing our Salah on time.

We should pray 5 times a day not because Allah (SWT) need our prayers, it’s because we need it to gain success in our life and hereafter .We should keep in mind that our prayers would not make Allah (s.w.t) any richer or add some benefits to His kingdom because Allah (s.w.t) owns the whole kingdom He does not need anything from us. Muslims pray because they believe that they obtain great benefits in doing so.

This prayer is a precious gift given to every believer to enable him to experience a spiritual ascension 5 times a day. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The prayer is the Miraaj of the believer.”

In Holy Quran Allah (SWT) said:

“NAY, SEEK (ALLAH’S) HELP WITH PATIENT PRESERVANCE AND PRAYER : IT IS INDEED HARD , EXCEPT TO THOSE WHO BRING LOWLY SPIRIT. “   (2:45 )

“AND BE STEADFAST IN PRAYER; PRACTICE REGULAR CHARITY; AND BOW DOWN YOUR HEADS WITH THOSE WHO BOW DOWN (IN WORSHIP).” (2:43)

Prayer is a direct link between you and Allah (s.w.t) with no intermediaries so if you want to make your relationship strong with Allah (s.w.t) start praying before it’s too late.
