Who was Muhammad S.A.W

Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) was the last messenger and true preacher of Islam. He was born in the house of noble tribe, in the holy city of Saudi Arabia, Makkah. His birth year according to Christian era was 570 CE. His lineage goes straight back to noble prophet Ismael (PBUH) who was the son of Prophet Abraham (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The father of Allah’s beloved prophet died even before he was born.

Then when he reached the age of six, his mother Aminah bint Wahb also died. He never went to school and had no background of formal academic education. After the death of his mother, a local nursemaid raised him for some time. Later on he was brought up by his grandfather till the age of 10. When he passed away, his uncle, Hazrat Abu Talib took him in and treated him very kindly.

When he was a youngster, he was famous for his generosity and righteousness. He did not waste time or got involved in time wasting activities, in fact he used to mediate in a hidden cave all the time. He spent his adult age in following Allah’s commands and praying. When he turned 40, the creator of universe bestowed him with prophet hood. It happened while he was mediating in the cave of Hira, located in Medinah. Hazrat Gabriel brought this message of Allah. For next 23 years of his life, he received these revelations. At the end these revelations were combined and now exist in the form of Holy Quran.

Since then till now, this holy book of Allah Almighty is unchanged and preserved. It still exists in its original form, without a single letter change in any verse of any Surah of whole Quran. Of all four books it is the only one that has authentic and original text. Remaining books were entrusted by Allah almighty to his close messengers who were supposed to guard it. After the death of messengers, the responsibility fell on the shoulders of followers who ten failed to do so. However Allah almighty has himself taken the responsibility of protecting this book until the arrival of judgment day.
