Surah Yaseen, Verse 3

Surah Yaseen is the 36th chapter of the Holy Book Quran with 83 ayats. It is one of the Meccan Suras. If we say that we know the exact meaning of Yasin then it would be wrong because only Allah know the true meaning of this word. So in this case some claims that it means ‘O human being’ and some says it is the name of the Messenger of Allah. Reality is nobody has the confirmation of these facts.  This Surah tells us about the punishments that afflict the past generations of nonbelievers to set an example for the present and future generation. The explanation of one of this chapter’s verse is below:

! إنك لمن المرسلين

Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messenger

Allah Pak has sworn by the Quran that this is absolutely true. In this verse the word (Kaaf) refers to the Messenger of Allah. The word Inna is to provide emphasis, to remove any doubt. Allah is saying that one should not doubt on the fact that Muhammad (PBUH) is from Al-Mursalin. Mursal is someone who has been sent by a higher authority and Rasul is someone who has been sent to convey by a higher authority. So if someone is a Rasul or Mursal it does not mean that You (Muhammad PBUH) is a Messenger. It’s connecting the word back to Allah who is the ultimate authority. The word is connecting the people back to Allah. Those who denied the Prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), Allah say that ‘By the oath of the wise Quran, You are verily among the messengers on the straight path’. Allah knew that in the future, a situation would arise where people would accept the Quran but have the difficulty of accepting the Messenger of Allah but that doesn’t mean that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) God forbid had any doubt about his Prophethood or Allah had to state this in order to reassure Him about it. The only reason of this was the disbelieving Quraish of that time. They were fervently refusing to believe His Prophethood and therefore Allah has said in the very beginning that ‘You are indeed one of the Messengers’ which implies that the people who refuse to believe Muhammad (PBUH) and deny His Prophethood are misguided and mistaken and that was also the only reason an Oath has been taken by Allah by the Quran and the word ‘wise’ has been used as an epithet of the Quran. Epithet which means that ‘An obvious proof of your being as Prophet is this Quran, which is full of understanding and this itself is the evidence that the person who is presenting such wise revelations is most surely is the Messenger of God.
