Benefits Of Recitation Of The Verses Of Holy Quran

The importance of reciting, learning and contemplating on the chapters, also known as verses of Holy Quran cannot be stressed enough. Indeed the revelations in this Holy book have many mysteries and depths that have yet to be discovered. Those who read Quran regularly can verify the fact that this book is an unending source of information and a plentiful resource of fresh knowledge and guidance. Reading it frequently doesn’t lead to weariness, but rather cause one to open many more paths of thoughts.  How unlucky are those people who forsake the words of Allah Almighty? And what excuse would be acceptable would be doing so? If the true value of the Holy Book Quran Pak was understood, the Muslims all around the world would not be where they are today. People lives can be spent in research about the hidden meanings of what is available in this Holy book and yet nothing would be exhausted from it. We Muslims know the importance of Quran and yet this great living miracle lies abandoned in our bookshelves, libraries or even in a beautifully created casing. All this while, we remain busy in our lives. This is why when we will be presented in front of our creator Allah Almighty for our deeds and misdeeds on the Day of Judgment, we will have no reason to defend ourselves or say that we were misguided as we are the ones who did not take the guidance which is readily available in the Holy Quran.

It should be mentioned that one cannot interpret or explain the verses of Quran Pak in their own words as in trying to explain them by using their own logics or reasoning because by doing so, we would easily deviate from the correct path and would begin to justify our misconception with our own interpretations of this holy text. Many traditions have been explained about this and major punishments have been promised to those people who misuse this Holy book for their own personal gain. The interpretation also known as Tafseer of the Holy Quran is actually done very carefully by scholars who are very religious and who refer to wide amounts of historical traditions and texts of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The Verse “Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim”

Whenever we recite any verse of Holy Quran, we start with Bismillahir Raahmanir Rahim. It means that: In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. It appears 114 times in Quran and appears at the start of every Surah except for Surah al-Tawbah. The reason behind it is that it is the continuation of the previous Surah which is Surah al-Anfal and another reason is that this Suran contains very strict commandments against the people who worshipped idols and hypocrites and curses them. It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has said then whenever a person recites Bismillah then five thousand ruby palaces are built for that person in Heaven known as Jannah. Each of this palace has a thousand of chambers which are made of pearls and in that each chamber, there is seventy thousand thrones of emerald and each throne has seventy thousand carpets made from special fabrics and upon each carpet is seated a Hur-ul-Ein.  Once a person asked from Holy Prophet (PBUH) the condition of getting all these rewards and He replied that the person should recite the Bismillah with understanding and conviction. He has also said that when a believer will have to cross the Pul-e-Siraat on the Day of Judgment, and he will recite Bismillah then he flames under him will start dying down until Jahanum will cry out, ‘O believer, pass through quickly, your presence is causing my fire to die out !’

In conclusion, we all pray to Allah Almighty to make our hearts mated to the Holy Book Quran Pak and make us able to understand its guidance and teachings.
