10 Important Checklists for Ramadan

Ramadan is one of the major blessings in the life of a Muslim. Majority of us anxiously wait for the rain of mercy during this blessed month and we get extra reward for each and every deed we do in Ramadan. But how often do we have that feeling that we could have done more deeds in Ramadan. Maybe prayed few more rakats or did more zikar of Allah Almighty or read few more surahs of Holy Quran?

Checklist of Ramadan is the best way to keep track of all deeds throughout the day. It is a simple list of items and is used as a reminder. This checklist of Ramadan consists of list which you should do throughout the day.

  1. Ask Allah Almighty to enable you to reach this blessed month and to get most out of it as people of early generation used to do.
  2. Intend to fast daily with pure intention of seeking reward from Allah SWT alone. Holy Prophet PBUH said:

“Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven”. (Bukhari)

  1. Read whole Holy Quran at least once as Hazrat Muhammad SAW did.
  2. Have Sehri as Holy Prophet PBUH said never skip suhoor because it is blessed.
  3. Make Dua before breaking your fast. Holy Prophet PBUH stated that a person who is fasting has a supplication that is answered when he break his fast after sunset.
  4. Make Dua when you are fasting because Hazrat Muhammad SAW said that there are three people whose supplication will never be rejected and one of them is fasting person.
  5. Give Sadaqah and always be good to people. Holy Prophet PBUH was the most generous person and he was the most generous in Holy Ramadan.
  6. Ask for forgiveness since this is the month when Allah Almighty frees people from fire.
  7. Perform Taraweeh with Khushoo in Mosque.
  8. Feed the poor and invite friends or relatives for Iftaar. Hazrat Muhammad SAW stated:

“Whoever gives Iftar to someone fasting he will have the same reward without decreasing the reward of the person fasting”.
